Overview
Overview is the home of the show graph. After install, this is where you confirm the box is alive, see what is connected, and jump into Control or I/O without digging through menus.
What you see
- Show identity — name and status of the loaded show. Fresh Community installs load Default. Getting Started can walk a concrete Blue Lamp Theater / Blue Lamp — Theater Show example later — not a guaranteed on-disk sample.
- Surface summary — Action Deck pages, cartwall pages, and scripted surfaces that are ready to fire (may be empty on a fresh Default).
- I/O strip — network audio sinks, control protocols, and lighting endpoints currently online.
- Health — CPU, network, and service status for the host.

Product language prefers cartwall SFX / play an SFX. In the Blue Lamp Theater sample, cartwall pages are named House and Bits.
Import audio & play an SFX
Import & play an SFX. Fresh Community 1.0.190 starts with an empty audio library — no preloaded stings. Skip if you don’t need local audio. If you have no short audio file yet, come back after you grab a wav/mp3.
- Audio → Library → Upload — open Control → Audio → Library, click primary Upload (modal Upload audio), and add at least one short file you bring yourself (mp3 / wav / zip). Do not use Cloud SFX Add to Library.
- Cartwall tile → play — on a cartwall page, add a tile wired to Play an audio file and pick the clip you just uploaded, then play it.
If fire says no device, you’re not broken — continue with No sound card — how do cartwall SFX reach a network audio device? or add an output under I/O.

No sound card — how do cartwall SFX reach a network audio device?
Cartwall SFX do not need a local sound card for the production story. Route cartwall pages to a network audio device (AES67, ST2110, Sonos, garden speaker, console·Q-SYS, etc.) so a headless or Pi-class box can put takes on your chosen network sink.

First five minutes
- Open http://localhost:7474 → Overview and confirm the host reports healthy on Default.
- Move to I/O and confirm the UI path (add OSC/HTTP or a lighting endpoint only if you need them).
- Open Control → Action Deck — create GO / STOP (and cartwall page openers when ready) if the deck is empty, then fire a GO / STOP cycle.
- Optional: Import audio & play an SFX if you have a short file; otherwise skip.
